Danimations’ producer and editor Emma Sterling began her creative journey as an artist and still photographer, and continues practising to this day. Her current show ‘Bloom’ presents a series of floral abstract images which double as vivid yet gentle colour studies. The works triumphantly re-imagine nature through a macro lens, a technique Emma has been practising since 2005. Her work is hanging on the walls of Christina’s on High Street in the charming South Australian town of Willunga (just an hour’s drive south of Adelaide) until September 8th, 2010.
Sponsored by leading Adelaide photo lab Atkins Technicolour, the works are available as stunning limited edition archival prints, and for this showing have been mounted on aluminium. All works are available to purchase in signed editions of 10 for AUD$300 each. You can take a virtual look at the exhibition in the video above, and if you enjoy Emma’s work, you can also purchase them on gift cards and view additional works at her artist store on Redbubble.com.
